My childhood memories of family times at our cabin on Klamath Lake are some of my best and that is why I love introducing buyers to the sense of community and old world charm found in Lake Tahoe. I was raised in Southern Oregon and graduated from the University of Oregon in 1988 with a degree in International Business. I had visited Lake Tahoe in 2008 and was so enchanted, I made it my home. Lake Tahoe is a special place and the homes up here are where many families have made those lasting memories that sustain us all throughout our lives. My family owned Southern Oregon Properties for nearly four decades. My father, a real estate broker himself wholeheartedly encouraged me to go open my own brokerage in Lake Tahoe. Finally, one of his six children had returned to the family business! I look at buying and selling Lake Tahoe resort real estate as a personal thing. These are not just houses for sale. I see the home, filled with the echoes of the memories and emotion from the years of family summers on the lake or teaching the little ones to ski at Homewood. I have a lot of respect for the emotional process that my clients go through when buying or selling. I also look at every buyer as a potential new neighbor and community member who will be making those same memories. These unique elements of Tahoe are what lead me to believe that a more personal approach instead of a corporate approach to real estate was the best way to build my business. Out of this and my architectural, design and business acumen, Grey Blue Realty was born. For me, it is really about finding that perfect home for my client and seeing that happy look when I hand them the keys.
I opened my own brokerage in large part because I wanted to do real estate a more personal way. Now I have decided to take that energy, passion and love for this town by getting involved on a different level – running for Tahoe City Public Utility District’s Board of Directors.
